On the brink of the 2008 World Olympics in Bejing, not to mention the upcoming Presidential election, celebrity news follows closely behind, if not beside.
America's obsession with celebrities has spiraled out of control, just as some major players in Hollywood have as well. Of course, one of the most famous recent crash and burn victims is Ms. Britney Spears. After a failed marriage and two children later, the legendary singer had fallen to an all-time low in her career as well as her personal life. According to a report from Thaindian News, the daily news of her demise contributes $120 million to the U.S. economy throughout the year, the same amount projected that Obama's economic stimulus package will cost. The Britney Spears phenomena has given a boost the the ever-decreasing US economy. The pop tart princess broke all popularity records when it was revealed that between January 2006 and July 2007, Spears was featured on the front covers of leading U.S. tabloids 175 times in 78 weeks, according to studies about the singer.
In more recent news, the Hogan family has been making headlines as the family continues to deteriorate. Since the youngest Hogan has found himself in some legal trouble pertaining to the terrible accident he was in that left a family friend in a vegetable state, other family problems have leaked out. Hulk has reportedly slept with his daughter's friend and Linda Hogan continues to date a 19-year-old. Her son, Nick turns 18 in less than two weeks on July 27. On May 9, TMZ reported that Nick was sentenced to eight months in a county jail for his involvement in the crash along with five years probation, 500 community service hours and the loss of his drivers license until he is 21.
As celebrity news becomes racier, everyone begins to take their turn to hop onto the bandwagon, including high profile athletes. In the US, sports takes precedent above many other things, and adding celebrity fuel to this fire will most likely bring the house down. Madonna's recent link to Alex Rodriguez, baseball player for the New York Yankees, has tabloids going crazy. No matter what is going on in our world, there will always be celebrity news to lighten the weight of the worlds end. It can be assured, that an affair, child or crisis is occurring at any given moment in Hollywood. It's because of this, that we are able to sleep better at night.
Khloe Kardashian Parties Up Before Being Locked up

Khloe Kardashian, widely known for the hit TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," was reportedly out on the town last night doing a little bar-hopping in Los Angeles, California. Looking sexy in a merlot-hued party dress paired with a pair of strappy heels, Khloe was definitely enjoying the time she had left before she turns herself into the police by Friday the 18th. Miss Kardashian made an appearance at a trendy hot spot known as Villa Lounge, where she then moved on to the Gamespot celebrity party to meet up with her sister, Kim. According to Hollie McKay of FOX News' Pop Tarts, Khloe stopped and posed for pictures and drank champagne with friends before being picked up by her limo and taken home.
Having violated her parole for an earlier DUI charge, Khloe will now have to spend up to 30 days in jail with no leeway. "Drinking and driving should be taken very seriously and unfortunately, Khloe had to learn the hard way," said her mom, Kris Jenner in a statement to E! News. "I hope Khloe will learn from her mistakes and I hope all of her brothers and sisters will learn from her actions and consequences. As always, we love and support our children."
Within 21 days of Khloe’s release from jail she must attend alcohol classes and will be on probation for at least another year. Kim, Khloe’s older sister wrote a statement answering questions about her Khloe’s recent arrest. "Khloe wants you to know she was sentenced to go to jail in regards to her one DUI case last year. Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved. I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly and it's never acceptable to drink and drive!"
Celebrity Blog: A-Rod hits a Home Run to Splitsville

C-Rod, otherwise known as Cynthia Rodriguez, is calling it quits with husband, New York Yankees hunk Alex Rodriguez after five years. In recent news, the slugger has been romantically linked to pop superstar, Madonna, but Madonna denies any romantic involvement between the two. Mrs. Rodriguez claims that the reason for the divorce is because he has been unfaithful and has abandoned his family. Regardless of whether you believe that Madonna has brainwashed him with her Kaballah into leaving his wife or any of the other ridiculous rumors out there, Cynthia Rodriguez is about to take a big slice of A-Rod’s close to $1 billion dollar pie, as rumors have been floating around that there is no pre-nup to speak of.
Despite rumors, Madonna plans to be at the All-Star baseball game, which is being held at Yankee Stadium. She probably not even shaken by the publicity, seeing as how she has been in the spotlight for decades and could use some extra publicity for her upcoming tour.
Now Madonna can’t be made out to be the only villain here. Maybe, Cynthia isn't as innocent as she seems and is making this more public than it needs to be in order to milk him for all he’s worth. Things seem to be falling into place too well for her and she is the only one not trying to keep a low profile here.
Madonna’s estranged brother, Chris Ciccone is convinced that his sister has nothing to do with the Rodriguez divorce, stating in an interview that she is “still a Catholic girl.” Now I’m not an expert on religious studies or anything, but can you be a Catholic girl who practices Kaballah?
According to E! online, Madonna is also refuting rumors that she and her hubby Guy Ritchie are headed for divorce. “My husband and I are not getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez."
