Penn State Students Choose Premiere over Party
by Annamarie DiRaddo

Recently, the newest Batman movie, The Dark Knight, hit local theatres in State College. Making top of the charts in the nation, The Dark Knight did not fail to be the number one movie Penn State students saw this past weekend. Many students chose to skip out on a party to go see the move and many more couldn’t settle for seeing the movie just one time. Arquimides Leon, a junior in Crime, Law and Justice, saw the movie twice this weekend.

“There’s not much to do in State College so when a good movie finally comes to our movie theater, my friends and I never miss a chance for something new to do.” Leon said.

Leon is just one of the many students at Penn State who is tired with the unexciting entertainment in the area. Five members of one local Greek fraternity also skipped out on partying one night to see the movie and enjoy something new for a change.

Is The Dark Knight really an amazing addition to the infamous batman movies? Or is it just another summer thriller that helps people, especially Penn State summer session students, find something new and a little bit more interesting to do?

Either way, the nation says, The Dark Knight, is a one of a kind batman movie that’s a must-see for this summer.
